Decoration Options for Branded Candle Jars
Glavique supports silk-screen printing, decals and hot stamping for OEM and private-label candle jar programs. The appropriate process depends on the jar material, surface finish, artwork, number of colors and required visual effect.
Logo decoration is developed for candle brands, importers, packaging suppliers, wholesalers and retail programs that need repeatable branding across samples and bulk orders. The decoration method is confirmed after reviewing the actual jar rather than selected only from an artwork file.
Clear, frosted, matte, spray-coated and metallic jars respond differently to printing and adhesion. The jar finish should therefore be approved through Frosting & Surface Finishing before the final logo sample is confirmed.
Artwork and Printing Area Confirmation
Buyers should provide vector artwork in an editable format whenever possible. The file should show the logo colors, intended dimensions and any required positioning relative to the jar rim, base or front centerline.
We review the usable decoration area against the jar shape. Straight cylindrical jars generally provide a more predictable printing surface, while tapered, curved or patterned jars may restrict logo size and placement.
Fine lines, small lettering and multi-color graphics may require adjustment to remain clear during production. Before sampling, the buyer should confirm:
- Final vector artwork
- Logo width and height
- Printing position and orientation
- Required color references
- Jar finish and base color
- Quantity per artwork or SKU
Silk-Screen Printing
Silk-screen printing is commonly used for simple logos, text and one-color or limited-color graphics. It can provide a clean result on clear, frosted and selected coated glass surfaces.
The printing result depends on ink color, line thickness, surface texture and contrast with the jar. A light logo may be suitable for a dark matte jar, while a dark or metallic logo may provide better visibility on clear or frosted glass.
Each additional color can increase setup requirements, alignment control and production cost. Multi-color artwork should be reviewed for registration feasibility before the quotation is finalized.
Decals and Hot Stamping
Decals can support more detailed or multi-color graphics than standard direct printing, depending on the jar and decoration requirements. Artwork clarity, application position and edge appearance should be reviewed on a physical sample.
Hot stamping is often selected for gold, silver or other metallic accents. It is more suitable for specific logo areas than for large full-surface graphics. The finished effect depends on the foil, jar coating and available printing surface.
Not every process is suitable for every finish. The decoration route is confirmed after evaluating the jar sample, artwork and order quantity. Additional branding options are explained on our Custom Logo & Decoration page.
Logo Sample Development and Approval
Customized logo samples generally require approximately 7–15 days, depending on the printing process, artwork and jar finish. The sample should be reviewed together with the intended jar color, lid and packaging.
Approval points normally include logo size, position, color, clarity and overall appearance. A physical sample is recommended because screen images may not show metallic reflection, ink density or surface interaction accurately.
Once approved, the physical sample and confirmed artwork become the reference for bulk production. Any artwork revision after approval may require new setup, additional samples and a revised production schedule.
Bulk Decoration Inspection
Bulk checks compare production jars with the approved sample. Inspection focuses on logo position, print clarity, color consistency, registration, visible marks and general adhesion.
A practical inspection standard should account for the printing method and jar surface. Decoration should be checked under consistent lighting and from a normal viewing distance, with closer examination used for obvious printing defects.
Further inspection details are available on the Quality Inspection & Testing page.
Information Needed for a Logo Quote
Send the jar reference, order quantity per SKU, vector artwork, logo dimensions, color references, printing position, jar finish and required packaging.
MOQ depends on the jar, decoration process and quantity per design. Customized logo orders commonly start above standard undecorated sample quantities. Final sample cost, MOQ and timing are confirmed after the complete artwork and product specification have been reviewed.
